ServSafe® Announces eCertificates

No more waiting for ServSafe Certificates by mail! ServSafe®, announces a more convenient, efficient, and cost-saving option for issuing ServSafe Certificates. Beginning May 7, 2015, ServSafe will offer complimentary eCertificates for our entire suite of training products, including ServSafe Manager, Food Handler, Allergens, and Alcohol! The new eCertificates will continue to fulfill ANSI requirements for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, and now will provide both students and proctors instant access to certificates once the exams are graded. ServSafe® Manager 6th Edition Update

The NJ Food Safety Learning ServSafe® Managers Course has now been updated to include the new 2013 FDA Food Code. The FDA Food Code is a model for local, state and federal regulators to develop and update their rules and to be leveled to recognized standards. For over 40 years, ServSafe® training programs have delivered the knowledge, leadership and protection that have earned the trust and confidence of business leaders everywhere. ServSafe® is a trademark of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. NJ Food Safety Learning Managers Course is utilized using the guidelines and course material solely from this nationally recognized and trusted organization.

Did you know that New Jersey State Department of Health CHAPTER 24 (N.J.A.C. 8:24) titled “Sanitation in Retail Food Establishments and Food and Beverage Vending Machines” states the following:

"By January 2, 2010, at least one person in charge in Risk Type 3 Food Establishments shall be a certified food protection manager who has shown proficiency of required information through obtaining a food safety certificate by passing a food safety certification examination administered by an accredited certifying program recognized by the Conference for Food Protection."
